Set up by Jack Braham Levy in January 2009, Jack the Lad Films is a Manchester based, independent short film company. Now in just its third year the company has already produced seven short films, which between them have so far racked up nineteen international film festival screenings around the world, six nominations and five awards.  It has also produced an award winning music video.

After writing and directing theatre productions in Birmingham and Edinburgh, Jack studied Screenwriting at Elstree Film School and Bolton University. He then went on to train at the London Film Academy and Futureworks Media School in both cinematography and editing. In December 2010 he completed his Masters in Filmmaking at Goldsmiths College.  As well as making short films and music videos he also works as a TV researcher and has worked on You've Been Framed and University Challenge amongst others.
