Set up by Jack Braham Levy in January 2009, Jack the Lad Films is a new Manchester based, independent short film company. After writing and directing theatre productions in Birmingham and Edinburgh, Jack studied Screenwriting at Elstree Film School and Bolton University. He then went on to train at the London Film Academy and Futureworks Media School in both cinematography and editing. He is set to complete his Masters in Filmmaking at Goldsmiths, London in December 2010.

As well as making short films and music videos he also works as a freelancer for television companies in Manchester, making The Naked Office, You've Been Framed, Funniest Things and University Challenge.

In its first year Jack the Lad Films have made three short Films, a Music Video and have one more production scheduled for completion before the New Year. It’s been a busy, fun and successful first twelve months, many thanks to all who’ve got involved and helped out.
